Smash S2 Arctic White

My second guitar!

Got this little baby off a shop called “Novelty Music” which is located at B1 Parklane Shopping Mall, from a nice gentleman who goes by the name of David. It’s another economical buy, going at about $250++, and the thing about this guitar is that it’s like my previous SG Special, value for money!

I had a rough idea of what I wanted now that I’ve gotten a really solid sounding guitar that plays gain channels pretty well. Originally, I was searching around for a Squire Stratocaster SSS type guitar, but once I tried this Smash S2 SSH set up, I was blown away. The neck pick up on this guitar played through a clean channel gives a really crisp clean sound. It’s very acoustic sounding, probably because of the basswood that it’s made from, and it has a pretty decent sound when played in bridge setting through a gain channel.

The colour on the body of this guitar also ages pretty well into a light shade of yellow, making it look a little like Yngwie Malmsteen’s strat (for those of you who knows what it looks like). Awesome!

If you want to see and hear it in action, feel free to come by our gigs!
