Juliano makes up one quarter of the up-and-coming Pop Rock band “The Same Few People“, having previously played in the now-defunct “The Buggers”.

Juliano was enlisted into National Service in Jan 2007, where he later graduated from ‘V’ Company BMTC II in March 2007 as a Private and was later posted to 3 / 787 SIR. There, he served in the ‘A’ Company, 12th Mono, 3 / 787 SIR as an automatic rifleman for First Section, First Platoon in 2007 and 2008. 3 / 787 SIR went on the achieve the Best Infantry Unit decoration for 08/09. Juliano achieved his highest standards of being the only automatic rifleman who was awarded ‘Marksman’ during the ATP. He was subsequently awarded “Battalion Best Shot” for his weapon system. His section claimed first place in the inter-company “Best Section Award” competition. He was finally declared operationally ready on 10th November 2008 and was honorably discharged from active service as a Lance Corporal in the army.

Moving on, Juliano now spends his free time fiddling with his guitar, trying to work out new tunes and old ones, constantly exploring the wonders of music. He usually listens to a wide variety of music, though he has a bad habit of focusing on one particular song, which has nicked his interest, for a period of time without listening to others. His main influences are the guitarists from the 80s and 90s such as Jimmy Page, Slash, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Richie Sambora to name a few. He prefers to play predominantly in the major pentatonic scale as he claims to not ‘know’ how to play in the blues scale. He also does back up vocals in “The Same Few People“, a large contrast from when he was the drummer for “The Buggers”.
